Wake County Family Court is one of our four contested-litigation counties (Johnston, Harnett, Wayne, and Wake), so we represent Wake-area residents in divorce, custody, and support matters. Wake DVPO/50B matters are not accepted at this time; for those we refer to InterAct Family Safety or the Wake County Magistrate.

Our immigration attorneys appear before the Charlotte Immigration Court (which has jurisdiction over North Carolina cases) and file petitions with USCIS. Our personal injury team pursues claims under North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 1, Article 8 (the state's contributory negligence framework). Wake County Family Court is one of our four litigation counties for contested family-law matters; DVPO/50B in Wake is not accepted at this time. Criminal defense and traffic are limited to cases filed in Johnston or Harnett County.
Wake County Family Court — What We Handle (and What We Don't)
Wake County is the most populous county in North Carolina, with over 1.1 million residents and a rapidly growing Latino and immigrant population. Cases filed here are processed through the Wake County Clerk of Superior Court. Vasquez Law Firm handles contested family-law litigation (divorce, custody, support) in Wake County Family Court — Wake is one of our four litigation counties along with Johnston, Harnett, and Wayne. However, Vasquez Law Firm does not currently file Domestic Violence Protection Orders (DVPO / 50B) in Wake County. For Wake County DVPOs, we refer to InterAct Family Safety (24-hour line (919) 828-7740) or the Wake County Magistrate (316 Fayetteville St, Raleigh) who can issue emergency protective orders 24/7. We accept DVPO/50B matters in Johnston, Harnett, and Wayne counties only.
