Who we are
Vasquez Law Firm, PLLC is a North Carolina and Florida law firm founded in October 2011 by William J. Vásquez, an attorney admitted to the North Carolina State Bar. Our offices are located in Charlotte, Raleigh, and Smithfield, North Carolina, and Orlando, Florida. We publish legal-news analysis, immigration policy updates, and practice-area explainers on vasquezlawnc.com as a service to the communities we represent.
What we publish
Every article on vasquezlawnc.com falls into one of three categories:
- Legal news analysis — reporting on official policy updates, court rulings, federal register notices, or legislative changes that affect our practice areas. Always anchored to a named primary source (USCIS, Federal Register, federal courts, state agencies).
- Practice-area explainers — evergreen content explaining immigration, family, criminal defense, traffic, workers' compensation, or personal injury topics. Citations to statute and regulation included.
- Case results and outcomes — anonymized summaries of matters we have handled, with explicit disclaimers that past results do not guarantee future outcomes (per NC State Bar Rule 7.1 and FL Bar Rule 4-7.13).
How we source
We anchor every legal-news article to a verifiable primary source. Acceptable primary sources include:
- U.S. federal agencies (USCIS, DHS, ICE, Department of State, DOJ, DOL).
- The Federal Register and the Code of Federal Regulations.
- U.S. federal court opinions and orders (Supreme Court, Courts of Appeals, district courts).
- North Carolina General Statutes and North Carolina Courts.
- Florida Statutes and Florida Courts.
- U.S. Code (statutory authority).
Secondary sources (news outlets, academic journals, bar association publications) may supplement primary sources but never replace them. We do not write about legal-news events from training-data memory; if we cannot find a primary source, we do not publish the article.
Who writes our content
Every article on vasquezlawnc.com is reviewed and signed by a named attorney at Vasquez Law Firm. The reviewing attorney's name appears as the article's byline with a link to their full biography. Our attorneys are:
- William J. Vásquez — Managing Attorney, immigration and personal injury (NC and FL).
- Jillian Baucom — Immigration attorney.
- Adrianna Ingram — Criminal defense, traffic, and family law (NC).
- Harold Estrada — Personal injury attorney (Orlando, FL).
- Christopher Afanador, Roselyn Torrellas, Rebecca Sommers, Shana B. Konoval.
AI assistance disclosure
We use AI tools to assist with drafting, source extraction, and bilingual translation. Every AI-assisted draft is reviewed and approved by a named attorney before publication. No article is published as generated; every piece carries human attorney review.
Specifically, our blog-generation pipeline fetches the primary source document for every news-flavored topic and grounds the AI draft in that source. Articles that cannot be anchored to a primary source are not published. This policy replaced our prior process in May 2026 to eliminate any risk of AI-generated content drifting from source facts.
Conflict of interest
We do not accept paid placement, sponsored content, or advertising disguised as editorial. Every external link on vasquezlawnc.com is editorial — chosen because it is the authoritative source for the claim being made. We do not link in exchange for compensation.
