Job Duties

  • Supporting day-to-day operations of the legal team and serving as a secondary supervisory contact
  • Overseeing caseload distribution among attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants
  • Monitoring workload capacity, deadlines, and case complexity
  • Tracking and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Preparing weekly, monthly, and annual performance reports
  • Developing and maintaining training materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Conducting onboarding and ongoing training sessions
  • Supervising paralegals, legal assistants, interns, and junior attorneys
  • Conducting quality control reviews and compliance audits
  • Assisting with high-priority or escalated immigration matters
  • Ensuring compliance with immigration regulations and internal standards
  • Integrating policy updates into firm processes

Requirements

Education:

Master’s degree required. Master of Laws (LL.M.) from a U.S. accredited law school AND a foreign law degree.

Experience:

Minimum 60 months (5 years) of overall legal experience, which may include: Legal employment Self-employment in a legal capacity Accredited experiential learning (e.g., law school clinics, externships, internships)

Skills:
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (both required)
  • Proficiency in U.S. immigration procedures (EOIR, USCIS, court systems)
  • Legal research, writing, and document review skills
  • Experience supervising and training legal staff
  • Familiarity with legal case management systems (e.g., Clio, Docketwise, LawLogix)
